How It All Began...
Before we start things off I would really like to take some time to talk briefly about the company behind the product we see here today.
Cabeau have gone and released a variety of different travel pillows since their establishment quite a few years ago. This includes the Evolution S3 and Evolution Classic just to name a few.
The current CEO and founder of Cabeau is none other than ex-professional basketball player David Sternlight himself. Back in the day David played for Maccabi Tel Aviv. During his career he was lucky enough to travel around a lot.
The downside to travelling a lot is that David is 6’8” tall, which made most of his travel experiences quite unpleasant. It was because of this that he wanted to look for a better way to travel more comfortably.
And that’s where the Evolution Cool comes in!
The Pillow
The first thing you’ll notice about the Evolution Cool is its cool, unique, and stylish design. This is probably the most unique travel pillow I have seen – in a good way of course.
Thankfully the unique appearance of the Evolution Cool does not take away from the level of comfort and support it can provide. The product incorporates the use of duel-density memory foam that can support the entire surface of your neck, allowing you to comfortably rest your head in any direction.
Furthermore, this travel pillow also features cooling vent technology, which helps to circulate cool air around the product. This helps to provide you with the most comfortable experience when using the pillow. These vents can be found on the side and back of the pillow.
If you have looked at any of the images of the pillow then you may have noticed the two pivot loops located at the front of the product. These are used to tighten or expand the pillow to fit any sized neck with ease. This makes the Evolution Cool a very versatile travel pillow that anyone can make use of.
Cabeau have really thought of everything when it comes to the Evolution Cool. As you can probably see, the pillow features a downwards curve in the material where your ears would sit. This is so you can use over-the-ear headphones without them getting in the way of the pillow. If you happen to use earphones then this probably wouldn’t be issue for you, but it is still nice to see this type of innovation.
The Evolution Cool comes in a variety of different colours for you to choose from, including: black, purple, red, and blue. There’s a colour to suit everyone’s taste.
It is simple enough to clean the Evolution Cool when it starts to get dirty. All you have to do is remove the cover from the pillow and then throw it in the wash. It doesn’t get much simpler than that really!
In addition to all of this, Cabeau will go and replace any defective products that are sent out, so you won’t have to worry if you have received any damaged goods as you can have them sent back to be replaced.
The Cabeau Evolution will also come with a compact storage case that you can use to store your pillow in. The case can be attached to your bag to make transportation even easier, and to also save on storage.
What Do We Think About the Pillow?
Let’s start things off by talking about the firmness of the pillow.
I will say that the pillow feels quite firm, but with that being said it still does feels very comfortable. If you are someone with a shorter neck then the pillow can be scrunched down to accommodate for that.
Just note that the pillow won’t scrunch down the entire way as the vents will not collapse, but you can get away with squishing down the outer areas of the pillow if needed.
I really like the small size of the Evolution Cool as it is small enough to take with you wherever you go. In addition to this, the pillow can be stored inside the attachable bag to become even smaller. From there you can easily attach it to any suitcase, luggage, or carry-on bag.
This is great if you are someone who has no room spare for any extra items in your luggage.
If you plan on listening to music while using the pillow then have no fear. Thanks to the innovative design of the Evolution Cool the pillow will not get in the way of the headphones you wear. As someone who loves to listen to music while travelling this is a massive plus for me.
I am personally not the biggest fan of the appearance of the pillow, but that may just be me. I prefer the appearance of more traditional travel pillows that are around right now, which is mostly due to their simplistic look and feel.
The cooling vents work really well at keeping your neck nice and cool. This is something that most traditional neck pillows do not account for, so this is refreshing to see.
If you are someone who likes to keep your neck nice and cool then the Evolution Cool can really deliver on that.
