Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow Review
Let’s get things started shall we!
I don’t think anyone would disagree with me if I were to say that this pillow looks incredibly stunning. What’s even better is that this pillow comes in a variety of different colours for you to choose from, depending on what kind of style you are looking for. These colour choices include: cerulean blue, icy violet and the more feminine-looking frosted pink.
In addition to this, you can also choose between two different texture varieties, which are: bubbles or waves. Both of these textures are what you would expect from their names. I was lucky enough to try out both of these textures and let me say that both of these feel really nice when you rest your head on them. You can definitely feel the difference between these two textures though, so I would recommend trying out the pillow first if you get the chance.
The Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow is sure to add some spark and color to any bedroom!
Now we need to ask ourselves, does this pillow provide enough comfort and support to the individual to make it competitive against all of the other pillows on the market right now? This is honestly quite a hard ask because there are so many good pillows around right now, but let’s go ahead and see how well it shapes up against the competition.
Let me start off by saying that the Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow is primarily composed of memory foam. Furthermore, there is an extra layer on top of this memory foam, which uses Hydraluxe cooling gel technology. This layer provides comfort to both your head and neck – allowing your muscles to relax as you sleep throughout the night.
When you order this pillow you will also be welcomed with a pillowcase that you can use if you don’t have one of your own. I personally went and put one of my old cases over the pillow, instead of using the stock standard one that came included with the product.
Sizes
Alright… now that we have briefly outlined some of the features of the product, let’s talk about the different sizes that are available.
The Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow comes in 4 different sizes for you to choose from, which are: contour, standard, queen, and king. Make sure you take the size of your bed into consideration when choosing the size of pillow to go with. I personally have a queen-sized bed, so I went with their queen-sized version.
What Do We Think?
I really love the cooling that the Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow is able to provide. You can definitely feel the cooling sensation as advertised by the company who manufactures the product.
The pillow feels very soft and comfortable to use, which is quite deceiving as the pillow is actually decently heavy. I find that the pillow cradles your neck very well and provides an adequate amount of support to this area too.
I’m a pretty big fan of memory foam pillows, and I find this one to be quite thick and comfortable to rest on.
Usually I would expect a pillow like this to be selling at a much higher price. For the money, this pillow is definitely comparable to some other pillows that are close to the $200 mark. One example I can think of is the Dr. Scholls pillow, which is very similar to the Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow except it is worth a lot more.
What Do Customers Online Think?
Now let’s jump into the spicy part of the review. Let’s find out what some of the people who have already purchased the pillow think of it!
As of writing this review there has been over 350 customers who have provided feedback on this pillow for us to look at. Judging by what most customers have said, it seems that this pillow is very hit or miss – you will either love, it or you will hate it.
The first thing I want to mention is that several customers have said that the cooling gel has continued to work not only just after a few months, but also a few years too. This is very good to hear as the cooling gel is this pillows main selling point. There is no way I would want to spend extra money on a product that is not built to last.
When you first buy the Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow you may want to let it sit for a few days before you initially start using it. One customer commented on the strong plastic smell surrounding the pillow when you first get it. I would recommend leaving the pillow in an open space somewhere around your home where it won’t bother anyone.
I noticed several complaints from customers who thought that the pillow was a bit too firm for their liking. If I were you I would keep this at the back of your mind as this pillow may not be as suitable for back and stomach-sleepers.
Final Thoughts
Overall, it is fair to say that I am a big fan of the Hydraluxe Cooling Gel Pillow.
Not only is the pillow very cooling, but it is also incredibly comfortable to sleep on. Just bear in mind that the pillow is rather firm, so it may take you a while to adjust to this product if you are quite accustom to softer pillows.
A majority of customer’s reviews for this pillow have been quite varied, so it’s hard to recommend this product for everyone. If you are in desperate need for a cooling pillow then I would say it is a sensible option, but if not then I would recommend looking at some of the other pillows that are around right now.
