If you suffer from heartburn or acid reflux then the MedCline Reflux Relief System may just be the tool to help you get a better night’s sleep.

The Reflux Relief System is a popular product that was primarily designed with reflux patients in mind. The system is comprised of three different components: a full-body pillow, an incline wedge, and an insert pillow.

It should be mentioned that MedCline was in development for more than three years before it was released to the public.

You will be happy to know that MedCline has gone through an extensive amount of testing to validate its functionality. In fact, it has gone through a total of 5 different independent clinical trials to make sure it does exactly what it is meant to do.

In addition to this, the product has also received approval from both the FSA and HSA.

MedCline puts you in a position that has been shown to be effective against a variety of different health problems, such as:

  • Heartburn
  • Acid reflux/GERD
  • Coughing
  • Nausea
  • Regurgitation

Most people who suffer from reflux will find that sleeping on their left side gives them the greatest amount of relief. The Reflux Relief System can be used in either sleeping position, so it doesn’t matter if you sleep on your left or right side.

It has been shown that most episodes of reflux will only occur during the first half of the night, so you may not need to use MedCline for the entirety of the night.

So with all of that out of the way let’s go ahead and take a look at MedCline and see how well the product holds up.

MedCline Reflux Relief System Review

Let me start off by saying that I am incredibly excited to be able to review the MedCline Reflux Relief System. Judging by all the things I’ve read about it I think I am in for big treat.

I am very interested to see what the health benefits are, as I feel like this is where most of the value will be.

When you purchase the Reflux Relief System you will also receive their Advanced Positioning Wedge, which is used to create an incline for you to sleep on. If you have any lower back or hip injuries then I would not advise you to use the product because of the angle you are required to sleep on. This includes problems such as: bulging disks, scoliosis, herniated disks, and lumbar damage.

If you have any concerns then give one of the MedCline Sleep Specialists a call on 800-610-1607. They will be able to answer any questions or concerns that you may have.

Unboxing MedCline

It doesn’t take too much time to set up the Reflux Relief System with the help of the manual that is included with the product.

When you receive the system you will be presented with the body pillow, insert pillow, and the incline wedge – each of these pieces are wrapped tightly in plastic shrink wrap and will need to be removed.

Once that is done you will have to let the body pillow and insert pillow sit for about an hour to regain their shape. Both of these pieces are compressed down to make shipment easier.

After about an hour you should fluff the pillows to free the stuffing inside.

Setting up MedCline

Start off by placing down the incline wedge near at the top of the bed and on whatever side you sleep on. You will want to make sure the wedge is right side up, which is indicated by a bright orange sticker.

After you have placed the wedge you will want to insert the pillow into the socket, and then you can centre the body pillow over the pillow inside the wedge.

How to Use MedCline

After you have finished assembling the system you are ready to start using the MedCline.

To start things off you will want to place your hip at the base of the incline wedge. From here you will want to slide your downside arm into the empty space between the wedge and the insert pillow.

You will want to make sure your arm placement is correct as this will stop you from sliding down the wedge during the night.

Clinically Proven System

The Reflux Relief System works by forcing you to seep in a different position, which is on your side whilst on an incline.

Clinical trials have proven that this position can reduce exposure to harmful acid by up to 87% compared to most traditional bed wedges.

There is significant amount of evidence that suggests that the MedCline can significantly reduce the symptoms associate with gestational reflux, nocturnal reflux, post-esophagectomy, and laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR).

Three of the clinical study papers can be found here:

Better Than Traditional Bed Wedges

One of the biggest complaints I hear about bed wedges is that they can cause you to slide down during the night.

Thankfully the Reflux Relief System is able to prevent this from happening.

The arm pocket found on the Advanced Positioning Wedge will help you maintain the optimal sleeping position all night long. In addition to this, the arm pocket can also help to relieve some of the pressure put on your arm and shoulder whilst in this position.

Half-Body Incline

Unlike traditional wedges that only place your head and neck on an incline, the Medcline actually inclines the entirety of your torso too.

This provides you additional support and an increase in overall effectiveness.

Medical Grade Materials

There are four different types of medical-grade foam used in the construction of the Advanced Positioning Wedge. For example, the top layer of the wedge is composed of memory foam for the highest amount of comfort possible.

Removable Covers

Both the body pillow and the wedge of the Reflux Relief System come with removable covers. These covers are both 100% machine washable, which makes washing the product incredibly easy and simple to do.

You can also purchase additional covers for each of the components if you ever need to.

100 Night Trial

What I love, and I am sure you will too, is that when you purchase the product you also get a 100 night free trial to see whether you like it or not.

If you don’t like the product then you can simply give the company a call and they will refund your money back minus a 10% disposal fee.

This means that there really is nothing to lose when go out and purchase the Reflux Relief System. If you don’t like it then just return it before the 100 night trial period.

What Size Should You Choose?

There are 3 different sizes for you to choose from: small, medium, and large. The most suitable option for you will be determined by your height.

MedCline Size Recommendations

The company behind Medcline recommends that you choose the smaller sized option if your height falls between two of the sizes.

You should take some time to make sure that you order the right size, as the Reflux Relief System will not work optimally if it does not fit with your torso properly.

I should also mention that the Reflux Relief System takes up a huge amount of room on your bed. In fact, it takes up to around half a standard queen-sized bed. So be sure to keep that in mind when you consider buying the product.

I know there would be many people that would not like to use something that invasive, especially when they have a partner who shares their bed too.

What Do Customers Think?

I have read through a countless amount of comments from satisfied customers who have gone out and purchased the product.

The overall opinion I see is that MedCline definitely works at reducing the symptoms associated with heartburn and acid reflux. Several customers even said they were snoring less while using the device, which is quite a benefit in itself.

The biggest complaint I see is that some customers got sore after using MedCline for the entire night, which may be due them having to sleep on their side. If this is causing you too much pain then you can always return the product before the 100 day trial period has ended.

Final Thoughts

We have had a lot of fun checking out MedCline!

If you are someone who suffers from heartburn or acid reflux then I definitely recommend that you check this product out. MedCline is backed by some hard-hitting evidence that proves its effectiveness, so you can rest easy knowing that you are using a product that you can trust.

I personally recommend that you give MedCline a chance. The worst thing that could happen is that you spent a little bit of time trying it out to see if it works for you. If you are not completely satisfied with it then just have it returned within the 100 day period from when you first purchased the product.

Just be aware that it may take you some time to adjust to the system when you first start using it.
