Hey guys! We are super happy to be reviewing the Simba Bed Frame today, and we hope you can come along for the journey!

In my opinion, a good bed frame is just as important as a good mattress. They both go hand-in-hand with each other.

Bed frames are there to keep your mattress in place, making sure it is nice and secure. You will be able to spot a poorly designed bed frame if it makes a tonne of noise from only the slightest of movements. Let’s be honest… no one wants that to happen during the night.

So with that being said, we hope the Simba Bed Frame can live up to the high expectations we have for it. Our last review was on the Simba Hybrid Pillow, which I must say was a very fantastic product. Now I just hope their bed frame is too!

Who Is Simba?

For those of you who don’t know, Simba is a British company that produces a bunch of different bedroom and bedding accessories. They have come a long way since their launch back in 1979, which started with just a spool of thread.

Since then they have sold over a million mattresses around the world and have continued to innovate and improve on the design of their mattress. Their aim is to create the most innovative and revolutionary products to simplify the way you sleep.

With years of experience under their belt, Simba has become a big name in the sleep industry. So with that being said, we hope their bed frame is a good representation of their stellar development.

Now that we have talked a little bit about the brief history of Simba, let’s talk about the bed frame itself.

The Bed Frame

There is nothing I love more than reviewing bedding accessories. Bed frames are often quite overlooked, but they play a very important role in the comfort and stability of your mattress.

Let me start off by saying that the Simba Bed Frame is incredibly easy to set up. I can already tell it is a high-quality bed frame made out of premium materials. It took around 15 minutes setting the product up with the help of a partner. Simba has also included 2 Allen Keys with their bed frame so you won’t have to worry about getting your own out.

One of the things I am a bit hesitant about is the fact that there is not much room underneath the bed frame to store things. The clearance underneath the bed is 17 cm, which means that you will only be able to store small things. I think I could fit a few storage boxes underneath there, but that would probably be it.

If you are someone who doesn’t need any storage space underneath your bed then you could probably overlook this fact.

I am personally a big fan of the appearance of the bed frame. I feel like it would look best in a contemporary style bedroom, but it would still have a place in most other styles of bedrooms too.

The bed frame features an on-trend grey wool finish, along with white oak legs, and a stylishly curved headboard. In addition to this, the bed frame also features a slatted base, which provides a high amount of comfort and stability to your mattress. In fact, it will likely improve the life-expectancy of your mattress too!

The on-trend grey wool finish looks incredibly stylish and sophisticated. If you are looking to add a touch of elegance to your bedroom then look no further than the Simba Bed Frame. It has completely changed the appearance of my bedroom, which is something that I have welcomed with open arms!

Solid American White Oak Legs

Simba has made the legs of their bed frame incredibly strong. With a simple touch, I can tell they are sturdy and built-to-last. I have nothing bad to say about these bed legs.

Slatted Base

As someone who has had experience with slatted bases, I find that they are able to withstand quite a bit of weight. If you are someone who is oversized then you should have no problem using the bed frame.

The king-sized bed frame is designed to withstand the weight of the Simba Mattress (which is 38 kg), plus an additional 114 kg per person sleeping on it. So in total, it can withstand up to 266 kg of weight placed on it.

Simba has even gone and added something unique to the typical design of a slatted bed base. They have developed a special zoning system that is able to support your body in any sleeping position. In addition to this, the shape and position of the slat’s allow air to circulate easily between the body, base, and mattress!

If you take a look at the rubberwood slats you will notice that they come in two different sizes. One type is 60 mm and the other is 80 mm. The gaps between the 60mm slats are 6cm, and the gaps between the 80 mm slats are 4.5-5.5 cm.

Can You Use the Bed Frame with Another Mattress?

Yes, you can!

In saying that though, the Simba Mattress works incredibly well with the Simba Bed Frame, but you can get away with using a different brand’s mattress. Just make sure you choose the right bed frame size to match the size of your current mattress.

What Do Customers Online Think?

For this part, I am using two different sources, which is Amazon and the reviews left on the product’s website.

At the time of writing this review, the Simba Bed Frame has 4.8/5 stars with over 550 customers reviews on the product’s website. Amazon is a pretty similar story in terms of rating as the bed frame is currently sitting at a perfect 5/5 stars.

Many customers commented on how much they liked the appearance of the bed frame. One of the customers even mentioned that they loved the modern and minimalistic appearance of the product.

I’m not sure if that customer read my mind, but that is exactly what I think too!

For starters, I am a huge fan of the overall look of the bed frame. In saying that though, I do believe that this bed frame would look out of place in some bedrooms. You would have a better idea than me if this bed frame would look good in your bedroom.

Secondly, I love the fact that you can use any kind of mattress with this bed frame, not just the Simba Mattress.

I also love the fact that they have used high-quality materials in the construction of the bed frame, which means it should last for many years to come.
