Let’s take a step back for a second so we can take a look at the history of the company behind the product.
Lucid is a relatively new company that only started making mattresses back in 2010. Despite their company being quite young they have already made a big name for themselves in the bedding industry.
The company now manufactures a wide range of different products for people all around the world to use, such as mattresses, adjustable bases, mattress protectors, and of course mattress toppers!
Lucid pride themselves on being able to offer their customers a wide variety of products that they can choose from. They understand that everyone has different sleeping styles and comfort tastes, which is a trait of a company that truly cares about their customer base.
So with that being said, we hope their mattress topper is something incredibly special!
The Mattress Topper
Now that we have taken a brief look at the history of Lucid, let’s go and see what their 3-Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper is all about.
As with most mattress toppers when you unbox the product you will be greeted with an unpleasant smell.
Do not worry, this is normal!
In order to remove this odor, you have to let the topper sit out for a while before you start using it. The instructions that come with the product specifies that you should let the topper sit out for 48 hours, so hopefully you can hold off on using the product for a few days.
I will say that I did notice that the smell dissipated pretty quickly. I think it was around the 24-hour mark when I couldn’t smell anything at all.
Just make sure that you wait until the smell has completely disappeared before you start sleeping on the topper. These odors can potentially give you a headache or make you feel nauseous, and I do not want that to happen to you!
How Does the Mattress Topper Feel?
Now that we have got that out of the way, let’s go ahead and get into the juicy stuff. Let’s talk about how the topper feels!

Let me start off by saying that this topper is incredibly comfortable to sleep on. The memory foam contours amazingly to the shape of your body, no matter what sleeping position you are in.

When you sleep on this topper you can definitely feel the cooling gel in action. Most memory foam toppers can get awfully hot during the night, but this technology allows you to sleep on the topper in any climate.
